Terms and Conditions

Wedding Ceremony Aisle

Services Provided:  Writing a speech of no more than 3 minutes in length.  If needed, additional time/words may be purchased as a separate service.

  Writer will review the completed questionnaire and hold a video call no longer than 30 minutes in preparation for the project.  A maximum of 2 revisions will be provided.  Additional revisions may be purchased for $25 each.

Compensation: U.S. dollars, paid upfront.

Ownership (Intellectual Property): Client owns the final work product upon full payment.  You gain full copyright and intellectual property rights for any work delivered by Writer when you complete the final payment.

Claims & Liabilities

 Writer endeavors to ensure that her work doesn’t infringe on any copyright or other right

of a third party.

Writer is not liable in any way for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or

consequential losses or damages resulting from use of services including but not

limited to: loss of data and other intangibles; costs or damages resulting from or related

to any services purchased or obtained, or resulting from unauthorized access to, or

alteration of your transmissions or data.

You agree to indemnify and to hold Writer harmless against any and all claims, costs,

and expenses, including solicitors’ fees, due to materials included in any work

undertaken at your request.

 All materials provided by you are assumed to be legal and accurate.

​

You are responsible for checking the factual accuracy of the content for this project.

 Writer works hard to ensure the work is free from errors, but I don’t offer an error-free

guarantee. You are responsible for final approval.

​

Writer takes no responsibility for the material and how it is used once you have approved

the final draft.

​

 If you wish to make a claim about incorrect performance or breach of these Terms

and Conditions, you must send it in writing prior to the end of the contract.

 Any imposed liability shall be limited to resupply of information or services

 

 

Confidentiality: The Writer agrees to keep all information discussed or written confidential.

 If Writer has signed a separate confidentiality agreement or Non-Disclosure Agreement with you, that agreement takes precedence.

 Writer will not disclose any information that you indicate is confidential.

​

 Writer may approach you for a testimonial after the project is completed to your satisfaction,

although provision of the testimonial is not obligatory.

​

 Writer may approach you to refer to this project and/or your name for promotional or educational purposes, but your participation is not obligatory.

​

Timeline/Deliverables: 

You are asked to nominate one primary contact for all revisions and contact throughout the

project.

If you do not communicate with Writer for 15 days, the project will be deemed closed and any

final amount owing will be billed.

 

 Writer endeavors to deliver all work by the agreed deadline. However, circumstances beyond

our control – including major illness or family emergencies – may prevent me from getting

work to you on time.

 Writer will inform you within two business days if there are any timeframe issues.

 

 If Writer is unable to complete work because she has not received information from you, she

will continue the project at our next opportunity. This may affect your overall timeline.

 

General Timeline:

Welcome Email/Questionnaire delivered to Client

Stage 1: Client Returns Completed Questionnaire

Stage 2: Video Call scheduled

​

Stage 3: First Draft Delivered via email 

​

Feedback/revisions due

​

Stage 4: Second Draft Delivered via email

​

Feedback Revisions 

​

Stage 5: FINAL DRAFT Delivered via email (pdf format)

Termination: 

 

You may terminate the job at any time via email.

 If you terminate the job, a refund may be issued based on the stage in progress.   

​

Termination prior to Stage 3- refund of $150

​

Termination after Stage 3 (First draft has been delivered to Client) is not eligible for a refund.

 

 We may terminate the job at any time via email.

 If Writer terminates the job, a refund may be issued based on the same stages outlined above.

​

Risk

 We are not responsible for any delivery delay if the delay or failure to supply is caused

by matters beyond reasonable control including, without limitation:

o Natural disasters

o Power failure

o Equipment failure

 

Additional Considerations

  • Independent Contractor Status: The Writer is not an employee.

  • Revision Limits: 2 revisions included in contract

  • Originality Warranty: The writer warrants the speech is original and does not infringe on copyrights.
